It is home to three museums, each with their own distinct identities: the Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts (fine arts- now open), the mudac (design and applied arts – expected to open in 2022) and the Musée de l’Elysée (photography – expected to open in 2022)
Musée Cantonal des Beaux-Arts recently inaugurated the temporary exhibition: Kiki Smith. Hearing You with My Eyes. The slogan for the permanent exhibition is Come and see here what you won’t see elsewhere!, laid out chronologically over two floors to showcase treasures from Vaud’s art collections, with some three hundred works dating from the eighteenth century to the present day.
Located next to the train station, it is also a living space that hosts restaurants, relaxation areas, boutiques and bookshops. Plateforme 10 is a great one for all art lovers and expected to completely open by June 2022.
