Gili Lankanfushi, the Maldives’ most loved resort, is introducing its latest summer package “Gili Goes Surfing” in partnership with Tropicsurf, a luxury surfing company offering a curated array of experiences amidst the purity of the resort’s natural surroundings.

The iconic island in the North Malé atoll is ideally located for unbeatable surfing. Boasting tropical water temperatures, consistent swell, and low crowds, some of the best breaks in the country lie on Gili Lankanfushi’s doorstep (with three being just a five-minute boat ride away and several more within 20 minutes).

From first timers to advanced wave riders, this riveting programme is led by both Tropicsurf’s male and female experts, renowned for their friendly and service-oriented approach. As part of the package, guests can take part 1- hour surf lesson in the resort’s calm lagoon on the first day, followed by 2- days surfing with one of Tropicsurf’s team, near the resort.

Moreover, guests can indulge a plethora of benefits, including a round-trip speed boat transfer from Velana International Airport, and choose from an incredible accommodation option of their choice*. The resort’s 45 sprawling overwater villas situated across the sparkling lagoon boast open-air living spaces, complemented with roof terraces and private decks with direct access to the lucent turquoise waters, blending harmoniously with the island’s natural environment.

Tailored to level 5-10 advanced surfers and for up to 3 hours, Ticket To Ride takes surfers to Gili Lankanfushi’s best available waves of the day, and comprises of a Dhoni transfer (a beautiful traditional multi-purpose sail vessel) to various breaks.

For level 1 beginners and those with no prior experience, the Lagoon Lesson teaches the fundamental safety and technique of surfing in a secluded and calm lagoon near the resort’s beaches.

On the other hand, Level 2-4 beginner and intermediate surfers can opt for the Ocean Transition, guided by Tropicsurf’s special instructors. The 3-hour experience also includes a Dhomi transfer and takes place across small waves, set against Gili’s panoramic views.
