“Dubai has been an important route for us for more than four decades and we are extremely excited to be resuming our operations from here. We look forward to welcoming travellers from the region who will once again be able to experience our warm, thoughtful service, together with our traditional Asian hospitality. Our customers can now fly confidently with Cathay Care, our commitment towards the wellbeing of our passengers, as we endeavour to provide a safe, secure and comfortable travel experience throughout their journey.” said Vishnu Rajendran, Area Manager – Middle East, Cathay Pacific.
“The resumption of this strategic route taps into the resurgent travel demand and underlines our ongoing efforts to recover our business from the impact of the
pandemic. It will also provide for additional cargo space to support our scheduled freighters that have been operating through these times.” he added.
Cathay Care
The Cathay Cares Initiative will be in full force to ensure guests feel safe when travelling with the airline. Safety measures are taken across every stage including contactless check-in and boarding, and social distancing in lounges and waiting areas. Once on board, safety measures continue with mandatory mask wearing, temperature checks, limited number of passengers in specific areas and seats blocked off where possible. Cathay Pacific is also providing customers with free COVID-19 insurance that is automatically applied when one books a flight with the airline. The insurance covers medical expenses related to the virus including hospitalisation.
Furthermore, all aircrafts will undergo regular deep cleaning and sanitisation. Customers will also receive modified meals to reduce contact, and see strict following of safety requirements by cabin crew both in the air and during downtime. The HEPA filtered cabin air also offers an additional safety element by recirculating air every two minutes, reducing 99.999 per cent of airborne contaminants and offering a similar level of performance to those used in hospitals.
Fly Worry Free
Cathay Pacific has also confirmed its ‘Fly Worry Free’ campaign is available for all new tickets purchased up to 30 June 2021, with guests able to make unlimited changes up to 31 December 2021. No fees will be charged for changes; however, any tax or fare differences may apply.
The airline, in coordination with selected diagnostic labs, is providing customers who book with Cathay Pacific a special price to conduct their RT-PCR tests. For more information, head to the Cathay Pacific website – https://www.cathaypacific.com/.
