Fitness First, one of the world’s leading health and fitness brands, announced the opening of its brand-new Festival City club. Moving to a new location in the centre of Dubai Festival City Mall, the stunning club is set to shake up the daily workout routine, thanks to a host of industry leading concepts, pioneering workouts, innovative equipment, and an extensive range of group exercise classes.
Boasting over 20,000 sq ft of training space, the new Festival City club is centred around four outstanding Fitness First workout concepts: BOX, SPIN, Hot Studio and GX Studio, along with dynamic strength and cardio freestyle areas and a dedicated ladies-only section, featuring state-of-the-art equipment for women to take their workouts to the next level.
Set to re-energise the Festival City fitness community, the new club will offer dynamic boxing classes that provide a sensory knockout; immersive indoor cycling experiences that draw on data visualisation technology and online gaming; a Hot Studio, powered by an ingenious infrared heating system that warms the body directly rather than heating the air, and a modern GX Studio with over 200 weekly innovative and exciting workout sessions to choose from.

BOX
Rocky meets Tron in a multi-sensory boxing studio that packs a knockout punch. Featuring pulsing sounds and sensory illumination, BOX is a 45-minute boxing workout that uses a simple ‘box by numbers’ method to help users of any ability deliver heart-pumping combos.
SPIN
Not even the pro peloton can match Fitness First’s state-of-the-art spin studio for the latest cycling tech. SPIN features the unique MyJourney indoor cycling programme that gives users a truly immersive riding experience. Connectivity is achieved through the ICG® Connect platform. The digital software delivers data-visualisation to engage riders by tracking group performance, providing team battles and rewarding group leaders, while also celebrating personal achievement. Individual bike computers connect to the instructor’s tablet and are beamed onto a large display that mirrors performance metrics. Following instructions is simple thanks to a flawless user interface and eye-catching animations.
HOT STUDIO
Delivering all the benefits of traditional classes but in a hot environment, Hot Studio helps to reduce warm-up time and delivers workouts with extra intensity. The studio is powered by an ingenious infrared heating system that warms the body directly rather than heating the air. The result – a feeling like the natural warmth of sunlight rather than the stuffy hot air found in conventionally heated studios. A range of ‘hot’ classes including Hot Power Vinyasa, Yoga with weights and restorative yoga strengthens the cardiovascular system by increasing heart rate while eliminating toxins.
GX STUDIO
Offering a wide range of innovative and exciting classes, including Fitness First’s exclusive TUFF class, Swing Yoga, Jump, Piloxing, Zumba and the popular variety of Les Mills programmes, the GX Studio allows members to redefine their workout. The studio has been designed with a unique lighting experience that creates an atmosphere designed to inspire and energize.
