Focusing on bringing back visitors to Singapore when borders are fully open, the new collective campaign will address major concerns of travellers from GCC countries that were reported in the recently launched Cleartrip Travel Insights Report.

  • As per Cleartrip’s Travel Insights Report, 60% of respondents identified confidence measures such as safe travel enablers as key consideration factors when planning their travel.

Singapore Tourism Board, has been working closely with industry partners to elevate health and safety measures based on new national standards, so that future visitors can enjoy the city’s refreshed experiences with added peace of mind. Initiatives such as SG Clean Quality mark have been launched which requires tourism establishments to adhere to stringent levels of hygiene and sanitization as well as Safe Management Measures (SMMs). As of November 2020, more than 27,000 individual premises have been certified across Singapore. From the use of contactless technology and cleaning robots to the contact tracing Apps, Singapore aims to make travel safer, yet seamless and efficient.

  • The report included informative travel trends and statistics such as 42% of respondents are looking forward to shorter holidays with a duration of 0-5 days, making Singapore the best travel destination. For a seemingly small country on the map, Singapore has many inspiring stories and unique experiences awaiting travellers that can be covered in a short trip.

Adding to the above, respondents also mentioned that they are planning on being more budget conscious on their trips, than they were prior to the pandemic. Close to 50% opted for an approximate budget of below AED 3,000 per person for their next leisure holiday. Singapore has many options for budget conscious travellers to explore the destination. www.visitsingapore.com will help travellers discover Singapore’s rich culture, sumptuous cuisine, and unforgettable sights without burning a hole in their wallet.

  • Another key finding was that 46% of respondents selected natural settings such as beach destinations as the most preferred for their next trip.

As Singapore aims to be the world’s most sustainable urban destination, GCC travellers can prepare themselves for a treat. From sun-kissed beaches of Sentosa to exploring the iconic green spaces of tranquility like the Singapore Botanic Gardens, Fort Canning Park and nature’s hike to Bukit Timah Nature Reserve or MacRitchie Nature Trail & Reservoir Park.

With incredible experiences being crafted, cooked, painted, designed, grown or built by locals around every corner, travellers have limitless possibilities to explore their passion in Singapore.

GCC travellers can also look forward to attractive deals and experiences that are being curated by Singapore Tourism and Cleartrip. For more information visit www.stb.gov.sg and www.cleartrip.ae.
