With Vegan Month taking place throughout the month of November, W Dubai – The Palm is inviting diners to discover a vibrant world of delicious meat-free dishes at the hotel’s stunning Akira Back restaurant.

Famed for its chic setting and spectacular views of the Dubai skyline, Akira Back offers an impressive adrenaline-fueled vegan menu, inspired by Japanese and Korean cuisine. Committed herbivores as well as curious foodies will be spoilt for choice with an array of hot and cold dishes, sushi rolls, mains, and desserts to choose from, which have all been carefully created by MICHELIN Star chef, Chef Akira Back.

Diners can kick start their Akira Back vegan journey and indulge in the restaurant’s hugely popular AB Tacos, made from Impossible Beef Bulgogi, roasted tomato ponzu and onion, or choose from Vegetable Tempura, Crispy Tofu, with Korean chilli glaze and spring onion, or the innovative Not Tuna Tataki, a flavoursome dish made from marinated tomatoe, Mustard Su-Miso and pickled wasabi. 

Offering an extensive menu, guests can also choose from a wide selection of vegan sushi and rolls, such as Vegan Rainbow Roll with grilled Nasu, and crispy Spider Rolls, made from Enoki tempura. For those who wish to try a wider selection then the Vegan Sushi Combo is the perfect plate, featuring five types of sushi and one vegan roll. Mains include Roasted Cauliflower, served with spicy chipotle miso and crispy potatoes, Tindle Tobanyaki, made from Japanese mushroom and an Akira Back firm favourite – the Truffle Rice Clay Pot, a seriously creamy dish made from braised truffles and mushrooms, finished with rich shaved truffle.

For something sweet, the dessert choices will not disappoint with Kabocha Pound Cake and the Spice Souq– a spiced cake served with cashew cream, candied cumquat, and strawberry sorbet.
