Dubai Duty Free has won two awards at the fourth edition of the Travel Retail Superstars Awards in an announcement made online on 13th January.
Organised by The Moodie Davitt Report, the Travel Retail Superstars Awards were established to celebrate the frontline and back-office heroes, heroines, managers and staff within the travel retail community who consistently go above and beyond the call of duty to serve travelling consumers.
Dubai Duty Free received two awards in the Middle East & Africa category including “Innovation – Back Office” for Oracle SIM Handheld Devices (Merchandising) and “Star Individual – Frontline” for Sales Assistant, Mushtaque Nuriddin Nadkar.

The introduction of Oracle SIM (Store Inventory Management) Handheld Devices by Retail Support – Merchandise Team at Dubai Duty Free, was recognised for its trailblazing initiative that reflects the essence of innovation, preparing the organisation for future technological trends and reinforcing its competitive advantage in a dynamic travel retail landscape. Meanwhile, Dubai Duty Free Sales Assistant, Mushtaque Nuriddin Nadkar was recognised for his commitment to exceptional service, leadership and team support, which has earned him widespread recognition.
To date, Dubai Duty Free has won 11 Travel Retail Superstars Awards since it was launched in 2021 as part of the second Virtual Travel Retail Expo.
