Maison Mathis, the beloved Belgian restaurant known for delivering the finest European dishes, has announced the opening of its second location in Dubai at West Beach’s voco Dubai The Palm. The new gastronomic gem promises to take guests on a culinary journey through the streets of Europe – with a menu inspired by and infused with the flavours of traditional Belgian food – all while being seated on the picturesque West Beach promenade.
Visitors can admire views of the Arabian Gulf while being treated to the smells of the on-site bakery, where bread is central to the dining experience. Traditional baguettes, homemade sourdough, and fluffy brioche burger buns are just a few of the many freshly baked breads available at Maison Mathis. The eatery also boasts traditional croissants filled with chocolate and almonds, reminiscent of those found in charming Parisian cafés.
The Daily Breakfast Menu is available from 6:30 AM – 2:00 PM Monday to Friday, and 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM Saturday and Sunday, and offers a wide selection of benedicts bursting with flavours. Chef favourites include Benedict Royal, with smoked salmon smothered in a hollandaise sauce, and Pulled Beef Benedict, topped with six-hour, slow cooked BBQ pulled beef and a spicy hollandaise. Among the large collection of dishes, vegan and vegetarian enthusiasts can enjoy Sourdough Avocado, a sourdough slice topped with fresh avocados, sprouts and spring onions.
Patrons can close out their weekend with a classic take on a Sunday Roast, available every Sunday. For just AED 150, diners can choose between fresh lamb, beef, or chicken, paired with a Yorkshire pudding, perfectly roasted potatoes, vegetables, and gravy.
Crowds gathering around the dinner table can indulge in one of the many sharing platters, including Fish Tacos, garnished with a touch of Mexican Pico de Gallo, and Crispy Calamari, served with aioli and lemon wedges.
The impressive and equally delicious sourdough stone baked pizza menu serves up all the classics, and also houses some unique creations. These include the likes of Tartuffo, a vegetarian option topped with mozzarella, caramelized onions, and a rich truffle cream, and Diavola, a crispy based pizza with spicy beef chorizo, olives, and mozzarella.
Diners looking to satisfy their sweet tooth can try Le Moelleux Au Chocolat, a hot, soft centered chocolate cake served with vanilla ice cream. A Spanish Crème Catalan, with caramelized custard, sweet lemons, and cinnamon, is also a menu must-have.
Not hungry and looking for a night cap? The bar menu is sure to deliver, with extensive beverage options and daily happy hour offers.
