The Tulip Festival featuring over 145,000 tulips of around 275 varieties will be held from April to mid-May in the Parc de l’Indépendance, located on the shores of Lake Geneva, between the Château de Morges and the river La Morges. The diversity of these flower beds, embellished with daffodils, muscaris and other spring bulbs, remind fans of the tulip’s huge range of shapes and colours. The Morges Tulip Festival was awarded with the “2019 World Tulip Destination Worth Travelling For” award to highlight its 50th edition.

The park is located in the centre of Morges and offers breath-taking views of Lake Geneva, the Alps, and Mont-Blanc, making it the ideal destination for a peaceful stroll or a picnic with loved ones. The Parc de l’Indépendance is also home to more than 50 different species of trees, including ancient horse chestnuts trees which were planted in 1750.

The Tulip Festival is part of the World Tulip Society, an association whose aim is to bring together all the stakeholders of the tulip around parks and festivals around the world, but also the distributors and artists who have used the flower as a model.
