Minor Hotels announces the signing of a hotel management agreement with Amal Group of Companies to launch Gardens of Eden Resort Phuket, Minor Reserve Collection, the first property under the new luxury collection brand in Asia. Scheduled to open in 2031, the 310-key resort will be located in Bang Tao, Phuket, just 250 metres from the island’s west coast shoreline.

Minor Reserve Collection is a new Minor Hotels luxury collection brand, bringing together one-of-a-kind hotels and resorts defined by distinctive elegance, individuality and a strong sense of place. Created for travellers who seek extraordinary stays beyond the ordinary, each property is carefully selected for its rarity, character and ability to offer something truly unique.

The signing marks another milestone in Minor Hotels’ luxury brand expansion and introduces Minor Reserve Collection to one of Asia’s most established resort destinations. The newly built property will form the hospitality centrepiece of the broader Gardens of Eden development, a 33-acre integrated luxury living and wellness destination that will also feature Etro Residences and Gardens of Eden Residences.

Gardens of Eden Resort Phuket, Minor Reserve Collection will comprise a 100-key hotel and 210 one-, two- and three-bedroom residences operated as part of the resort inventory. Wellness will be a defining element of the guest experience, centred around a dedicated facility spanning more than 5,000 square metres. Dining venues are planned to include an all-day dining restaurant, two speciality restaurants, an organic café and a lobby lounge.

Positioned adjacent to a protected national park and within easy reach of Laguna Phuket and Phuket International Airport, the resort will offer guests access to one of Thailand’s most desirable lifestyle and leisure destinations.

Designed by Martin Palleros of Tierra Design, the project will reflect the natural setting of Bang Tao while delivering the distinctive character, personalised service and elevated experiences that define the Minor Reserve Collection.

“Thailand is home for Minor Hotels, so introducing the new Gardens of Eden Phuket, Minor Reserve Collection to the kingdom is a significant milestone for our company and our luxury brand strategy,” said Omar Romero, Chief Development & Luxury Officer, Minor Hotels. “Phuket continues to evolve as one of the world’s most compelling resort and wellness destinations, and we are pleased to partner with Amal Group of Companies to bring this exceptional project to life.”

“Gardens of Eden has been conceived as a destination where luxury living, wellness and nature come together in a meaningful way. As the project enters this next phase, we are delighted to partner with Minor Hotels to introduce the first Minor Reserve Collection property in Asia. Phuket remains one of the world’s most attractive resort markets, and we believe the combination of Minor Hotels’ luxury hospitality expertise and the strength of the Gardens of Eden vision will create a distinctive offering for both international travellers and residents,” concluded Alexander Chuvalov, CEO, Gardens of Eden.

Gardens of Eden Resort Phuket will join a growing global portfolio of Minor Reserve Collection properties, alongside Hotel Palace Portorož in Slovenia, set to relaunch in early 2027; the iconic Dukes London, reopening in Q2 2027; and Aventora Resort Baía Formosa in Brazil, scheduled to open in 2028.
